By the river Thames, and close to Battersea Park, Vauxhall is home to the headquarters of MI6 and the soon to be finished new American Embassy.Though most of the property in the area is made up of ex-council housing, there is a significant amount of converted Victorian terraces, and modern housing. New developments include St George’s wharf where a number of politicians are said to live.

Inhabitants enjoy the proximity with the river, and Battersea Park. As for going out, the Bonnington Square café is highly recommended, and the Fentiman Arms on Fentiman Road and the Priory Arms on Lansdowne Way are said to be excellent pubs with great food.
